I know what it feels like to compete.
I know the early mornings, the pressure of a big match, the weight of expectations and the silence of a defeat that stays with you longer than any victory. That experience didn't just shape me as an athlete. It shaped everything I do today.
My athletic journey began early, competing across multiple sports tennis, soccer, golf, and volleyball driven by one constant: the desire to become the best possible version of myself. That pursuit eventually led me to the golf course at the collegiate level, where I competed for two years at Alabama A&M University (D1 NCAA) and two more at Barry University. College athletics taught me things no classroom could: how to perform under pressure, navigate team dynamics, manage competition on the road, and push through the mental battles that happen long before you ever step onto the field.
Being away from family while competing at a high level wasn't easy. But that challenge, like so many others, became fuel. It deepened my understanding of what athletes truly face not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, and it ignited a passion that led me to pursue my Master's degree in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology at Barry University, and my certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC®) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
Today, I bring the perspective of someone who has lived the athlete experience and the knowledge of someone trained to understand the psychology behind peak performance to every athlete, coach, and family I work with.
At ECHO Mental Performance, my mission is simple: to help you identify what is holding you back, build the mental tools to break through it, and perform at the highest level you are capable of. Whether you are a young athlete just finding your competitive footing, a high-performer chasing the next level, or a coach looking to bring mental performance into your program, I am here to help you train the part of the game that controls everything else.
The game starts in your mind. Let's build it together.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We are
what we think.
Mental training isn't about eliminating doubt or silencing pressure. It's about learning to perform fully in the presence of both. Every athlete we work with is capable of more than they currently believe and our job is to help them close that gap.
The Approach
Evidence-based. Athlete-centered.
No two athletes are the same, so no single approach fits every situation. We draw from three proven frameworks and integrate them based on you, your sport, and your goals.
-
The core of our practice. Rather than fighting anxiety or doubt, MAC teaches athletes to acknowledge pressure without letting it control their performance. The goal isn't a quiet mind, it's a free one.
Present-Moment Focus · Psychological Flexibility · Value-Driven Action · Performance Anxiety
-
We are what we think. CBT gives athletes practical tools to identify limiting beliefs, challenge them, and intentionally build thought patterns that fuel confidence and performance.
Self-talk Training · Reframing Setbacks · Pre-performance Routines · Confidence Building
-
For teams and coaches, we use SDT to build environments where athletes are intrinsically motivated and connected. Three needs drive sustainable performance: Autonomy, Competence, and Relatedness.
Athlete Autonomy · Team Culture · Coach-Athlete Dynamics · Intrinsic Motivation
